Brass offers a machinability rating of 100% (used as the benchmark for all metals). It produces short chips, requires no cutting fluid in many cases, and delivers excellent surface finish. This makes it ideal for automatic screw machine production of fittings, valves, and connectors.

Common Grades

Free Cutting Brass (CuZn39Pb3 / CZ121) — highest machinability for precision turned parts. Naval Brass (CuZn37Pb2) — good corrosion resistance with good machinability. High Tensile Brass — for applications requiring strength. Leaded Brass — for bearing and bushing applications.

Available in round, hexagonal, and square profiles from 3mm to 160mm diameter. Supplied in extruded, drawn, or centerless ground condition as per customer requirement. Standard lengths 1-6 meters or cut to size.
